Carputils installation on Windows

Greetings,

I've been trying to instal carputils for a while now and I can't seem to get it right. I follow the steps provided by the website, but when I get to 

export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/.local/bin

there is an error in the windows' command prompt, saying 'export' isn't recognized as an internal nor as an external command. I tried to type the same command on the git cmd (same error occurs) and on git bash (nothing happens).

Could anyone please give me some instructions about how to proceed? I tried to google some solutions but nothing worked so far.

Windows is not really supported so far.

Are you using the Linux subsystem of Windows?

If not, I think the Windows equivalent of export is set but I would assume that you run into further issues along the way.

I tried "set" but it didn't work either. I'll try to download WSL, I think it might solve it!
