Hello,

I am a professor with a senior design group interested in obtaining software that implements an interactively beating heart for an augmented reality project. As far as I know OpenCARP is mostly about a predictive model of cardiac physiology. I was wondering if there is also interactive simulation of a beating heart available publicly in OpenCARP, which could run standalone as part of an AR project implementation. Thanks for your support.

Hi Michel,

indeed, openCARP only features cardiac electrophysiology in its current form. Moreover, mechanical simulations are computationally quite heavy and cannot be done in realtime with most of the current approaches.

If the results of a 3D mechanical simulation would suit your needs, you can get in touch via email: axel.loewe@kit.edu

Cheers,

Axel
