I currently have an existing 3d mesh in opencarp format, is there any way to generate a vtx file from it? If not, how should I create one?

The file format is described in section 4.1.6 of the openCARP manual:

https://opencarp.org/documentation/user-manual

Node numbers are corresponding to the ones in the .pts file defining your 3d mesh.
