3rd openCARP User Meeting on Computational Modeling of Cardiac Electrophysiology

11 November 2020: 2 pm - 6pm CET as online workshop

Workshop Agenda | Registration and Contact

Overview

Highly detailed simulations of cardiac function have become feasible, but performing such simulations remains a highly non-trivial problem, as complex workflows have to be employed to build, parameterize and execute simulations. The main focus of the 3rd openCARP User Meeting on Computational Modeling of Cardiac Electrophysiology (11 November 2020; 2 pm - 6 pm CET; online workshop) is to provide an overview of the current state-of-the-art in modeling cardiac electrophysiology, and to introduce and provide basic training for solving cardiac electrophysiology problems using the freely available modeling environment openCARP.

Recordings of the plenary sessions of the 3rd openCARP user meeting are online in the openCARP YouTube channel.

Objectives

  • Introduce the people behind openCARP and the community
  • Show the current status of openCARP and it's short- and mid-term development roadmap
  • Hands-on training in solving cardiac modeling problems using the openCARP environment (seperated in three different levels of expertise)

Audience

The online user meeting addresses researchers at all career levels (students, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, senior scientists) in academia and industry with research interests in computational modeling of cardiac electrophysiology.
In addition to a beginner track with basic openCARP introduction and training, we will explain more experienced users how to setup simulations and to write numerical experiments. With expert users, we would like develop new ideas for numerical experiments and develop useful examples.

Video platform

We will send a link to the video platform directly via email for those who have registered to the workshop.
