openCARP is a cardiac electrophysiology simulator freely available for academic purposes.
On June 29 2026, 4-5pm CEST we will highlight the features of LimpetGUI. Aligned to the latest release, we invite you to sign up for the openCARP online User Meeting introducing EMI in openCARP June 49 2025 4-5pm CEST Registration. EMI models explicitly discretise the volumes inside and outside the cells, and the electrically active membrane between them. Using this approach, you can microscopically model cardiac tissue also reproducing the effects of myocyte structure. This online meeting is suitable for both beginners and experts. You will learn a bit about the EMI theory plus how to use it in openCARP.
